Sterre Hond (2001) is a classical pianist and composer with a fondness for the Romantic and Impressionist repertoire. In addition to these artistic influences, the fact that Sterre has synesthesia has a special impact on her musicianship. Through her synesthesia, she sees colors associated with different tones and harmonies while playing the piano. During concerts and workshops, she shares her colorful sensory world as a synesthete. She does this through personal stories and self-made light projections that visualize the colors she experiences in that moment.

My vision is to show that classical music is not dusty and boring. By integrating my light projections into concerts, I demonstrate that classical music is of this time. The light projections transform the concert hall into a magical, sensory experience.
